7th CPC –Steps to Calculate New Basic Pay of Employees…
Easy steps to Calculate your 7th Pay Commission Basic Pay..
Simplified Calculation for the Revised Pay in the new Pay Matrix System..
For example, if an employee is drawing Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- and Pay in the Pay Band is Rs. 13490/-…
To calculate your Basic Pay and Allowance follow the steps given below.
Basic Pay as per 6th CPC is…
(Grade Pay + Band Pay) = 4200+13490 = 17690
And now for calculating New Basic Pay in the 7th CPC…Follow the steps..
Multiply the above figure with 7th CPC Fitment Formula 2.57
17690 x 2.57 = 45463.3 (Paisa to be rounded off to the nearest Rupee)
so, the amount is = Rs.45464.
Match this Answer with Matrix Table (Given Below): In Grade Pay column – Rs.4200
We could not find the exact figure in the table. So, as per the new Pay Matrix, the next higher amount is the new basic pay…
So , Rs.46200 is the New 7th CPC Basic Pay..
Now, House Rent Allowance…
HRA has been revised as 24%, 16% and 8% for 30%, 20% and 10% respectively
So if you are in 30% HRA Bracket, your HRA in 7th CPC is 24% ..
Let us assume now you are in 30% HRA bracket, your revised HRA is 24%
Find the 24% of the Basic Pay = 46200 x 24/100 = 11088.
The HRA is Rs.11088.
Now the Transport Allowance (TPTA)
7th CPC Recommends Transport Allowance for three Category of Employees for Two Types of Places..
If you are living in A1 and A classified cities you will be entitled to get higher TPTA rates
7th CPC TPTA Transport Allowance
And since the Grade Pay is 4200 and it falls in Second category..
i.e. Grade Pay 2000 to 4800 –- Rs 3600+DA
Your TPTA is Rs. 3600/- (DA is Nil as on 1.1.2016)
There will be no Dearness Allowance from 01.01.2016…
Add all the figures
New Basic Pay + HRA+TPTA = 46200+11088+3600=60888.
Therefore, the revised 7th CPC Gross Pay as on 1.1.2016 will be Rs.60888.
